Introduction The most common cause of non-diabetic hypoglycemia in a seemingly healthy individual is reactive hypoglycemia, also referred to as reactive postprandial hypoglycemia (RPH), idiopathic reactive hypoglycemia, or postprandial hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia syndrome [1,2,3]. RPH is characterized by adrenergic and neuroglycopenic symptoms occurring 2–5 h following carbohydrate ingestion [2,4].
