Hello!
My name is Raina Dent, a proud community college transfer student, third-year at the University of California, Berkeley, and student journalist passionate about writing stories that humanize the communities around me.
As a journalist, I have immersed myself in writing about culture, politics, sports, education issues in California, and much more. I am passionate reporting on the intersection of all of these topics, and my work has been published in The Tracy Press, The Express, EdSource, and my own blog on Substack.
Writing with grit is my passion, but talking to people and showing them that their stories matter is why I live.
