Ironically, my particular annoyance with and dislike of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark isn’t entirely her fault, but rather our society’s inability to have an honest conversation about her. She’s good. I’ve watched her quite literally etch her name (and number) into the linoleum at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. I’ve watched her break Kelsey Plum’s scoring record and lead her team to an NCAA championship.

I’d like to start this off by saying that I’m not naive to the fact that the NFL tends to skew conservative in a lot of cases. It’s something I’ve learned to begrudgingly put up with (but complain about) in the name of enjoying one of America’s pastimes. It’s one of the reasons why Jaxson Dart, quarterback for the New York Giants, endorsing President Trump at a rally in New York last month didn’t surprise me in the slightest.
