Unveiled less than a month ago, Fayetteville's latest mural continues the tradition of highlighting the contributions of the people who have made an impact here and around the world. The new mural features J. Cole, but it's not the only recent artwork to feature the Grammy-winning artist who grew up in Fayetteville among its subjects.

As Fayetteville recovers from a recent winter storm and prepares for possible snow this weekend, J. Cole comes through with a blizzard. Paying homage to DJ Clue’s "Birthday Blizzard ‘96" mixtape, Cole just released "Birthday Blizzard ‘26" on Jan. 27, a day ahead of his 41st birthday. The four-track project features the Terry Sanford graduate rapping over classic instrumentals such as "Money, Power, Respect" by The LOX featuring Lil’ Kim and the late DMX.
