Renewable 3 min read India aims to reach 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030, requiring about 60 GW of additional capacity each year. Nearly 50 GW of renewable capacity is effectively stranded – built and connected, but unable to supply electricity. That is enough to meet the combined peak demand of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. The reason is simple: Transmission lines are not keeping pace. This is not a future risk. It is happening now.

Hot corrosion resistance of plasma‐sprayed carbon nanotube reinforced ceramic coatings on T23 steel in boiler service

This research work investigates the high-temperature corrosion behavior of ceramic coatings comprising alumina and carbon nanotube-reinforced alumina (1, 3, and 4.5 wt.% CNT) deposited on T23 boiler steel using plasma spraying. The coated and uncoated samples were exposed for 1000 h at 900°C in a 250 MW operational thermal power plant boiler to simulate real service conditions.
