1. Key Messages Obesity hypoventilation syndrome is associated with many comorbidities, including cardiovascular and metabolic. Persistent hypercapnia is frequent and deleterious for patients. There is a paucity of data on the factors associated with persistent hypercapnia on home NIV after optimizing PAP settings. Sex, BMI, pCO2 at diagnosis, and TLC are independently associated with persistent hypercapnia on home NIV. 2.
