1. Introduction Despite the significant incidence of hearing loss in older adults and the severe consequences of this condition on communication and quality of life, age-related hearing loss is still largely underdiagnosed [1]. The majority of individuals with hearing loss tend to live with their hearing problems for several years before seeking help until they experience communication problems and disability due to the slow progression of hearing loss [2,3].
