NORWALK, Conn. — Properties in Norwalk’s Enterprise Zone program are now generating more than eight times the tax revenue they did before development began, according to city records. And when the tax breaks fully expire, the city stands to collect even more. The Enterprise Zone (EZ) is a state-authorized program that gives developers reduced property taxes for up to seven years to encourage investment in designated areas of the city.

NORWALK, Conn. — The rain may have canceled the official city parade, but it could not stop VFW Post 603. With no official procession on the streets, Norwalk’s veterans marched anyway, carrying the American flag, the VFW colors, and the POW MIA flag to the Norwalk Green, where they said a prayer by the cannon and remembered those who gave their lives. A contingent from the Norwalk Fire Department marched with the post, and Rescue Two joined them along East Avenue.

NORWALK, Conn. — The company behind the SoNo Collection mall has sued the City of Norwalk, arguing that the city overvalued the property when setting its tax bill. Norwalk Land Development, LLC, which is connected to Brookfield Properties Retail, filed the lawsuit on May 7, 2026, in Stamford Superior Court.
