As a science 'journalist' editing and writing for the Bulletin of the Ecological Society of Australia.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I wrote my later undergrad papers on a manual typewriter, my Honours thesis on an electric golfball typewriter, and I wrote my PhD on my Mac

It's here, it's now - like everything else in the 21st C is boutique and distributed

Ford Prefect, from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
I'm a writer rather than doing the hard work of journalism - it's about delivering well researched, evidence based stories that tell stories.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
iEverthing - not much I don't not use on Mac/iPad/iPhone: the whole office thru all adobe suite and social media - Twitter a key.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter for immediate news, Linkedin for a longer discussion
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
LOL - wrote the high school bulletin board when it actually was a board with pieces of paper. Also writing and photos for the school annual.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
When's the best time to pitch you?
When the issue and the day is hot and there's a beer for lubrication of cool ideas.
What's your favorite drink?
A good cup of tea in the morning, a good chocolate milkshake from time to time, and a good lager at then of a good day.
