Rayssa Almeida’s Biography
I'm a Brazilian journalist with extensive experience in social issues and a track record of winning international awards.
I've produced documentaries, investigative reports, and breaking news pieces in the Brazilian Amazon region for six years.
After moving to New Zealand in 2015, I transitioned into hospitality and became a 5-star hotel manager, gaining organization and management skills, as well as diving on all the nuances of crisis management.
In 2022, I returned to journalism at Radio New Zealand, where I'm responsible for breaking news, investigations, live crosses and current affairs.
My areas of expertise include social issues, housing, and youth development. I'm a fast learner, versatile person who never backs down from a challenge.
