After a record setting soggy April, this month has been the exact opposite. Take a look at the monthly precipitation for Milwaukee so far this year: While February only reached about half the normal monthly snowfall, this month is certainly sticking out for what should be one of our wetter months of the year, per the averages. Through today's date only one other year has had less rainfall for May.

As of 7:25pm we are clear from active tornado warnings. However, we continue with the tornado watch until 10pm. So far we have had a couple reports from storm chasers of tornadoes on the ground across southern Wisconsin. In addition, we had radar confirmed tornado near Sussex. You can clearly see a debris ball near Sussex right around 6:30pm. As the storm traveled east around 35 mph the rotation became more broad as it approached the lake front.

If this isn't the most Wisconsin Spring week, I don't know what is. We go from temps in the 60s this past weekend to our first 70s Monday to high wind warnings tomorrow and double-digit snow totals over the weekend. There's a lot to sort out to say the least. Starting with tonight, expect rain and a wintry mix. this generally starts after 7pm. Best mix chance is for our northern spots. Here's a peek at 1am. Shortly thereafter winds switch from south to west and really pick up.
