Higher Crossover = more amp headroom
In testing my system with REW, I find I can get better results with raising my crossover from 80db to 100db. My question is then by doing so will I have given my receiver amp more headroom as it’s no longer needing to drive the lower output?

Receiver / Amplifier - Power output and Allocation Basics
Since that 140W rating is based on 2 channels, you want to multiply 140 W/ch x 2 ch = 280 W total. Keep this number in mind. Your limitations are really only dependent on how efficient your speakers are, and how far away they are from the listening position. Sure, an external amp will give more power, but first calculate whether you need it or not based on your listening levels. To help you geek out, take me and my room for example.

First excuse any reference to wrong terminology as I'm still learning. To use my situation as an example. I have the Denon 6700H with 11 channels x 140watt output.

Oddities: Someone Bought A “Flintstones” Car ; LB James Harrison Loves “Family Guy”
Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar of Johor was given a car inspired by The Flintstones by Pahang’s Regent Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah. The engine-powered replica appears to really be a highly modified golf cart rather than a vehicle made out of boulders but it’s still pretty bad-ass looking and would be a great addition to any houses that kinda look like they are from The Flintstones. Actually, you know who would also love this car?

English Dub Review: Godzilla Planet of the Monsters
I didn’t think I’d ever be bored by a Godzilla film, but here we are. Planet of the Monsters is set in the future, where humanity is driven out by repeated kaiju attacks. In exile, humanity has managed to make a truce with the humanoid aliens that are also curious about Earth, and are looking for a new habitat. Unfortunately, most of the planets they find are uninhabitable, and with low supplies, they are forced to return to Earth and confront Godzilla again.

“The Imposters” by Patrick Mceown is a longer segment, featuring Finn and Jake discovering they have a set of imposters in Sandwicham. The two of them decide to make a setup where they force the imposters to be heroic, and it works.
Season Review: The Blubburbs Season One
Explosm.net gave us very little idea of what to expect from its new series prior to making the entire first season available on go90 (international viewers can find it on Yahoo! View). Basically, it examines the daily lives of people from the same neighborhood, which happens to be a whale. As per the show’s extremely catchy theme song, there are “folk you’d associate with whales” such as Geppetto, Pinocchio, Jonah, and Ahab, in addition to a quirky cast of newly created characters.

Mikey’s not dead, just nearly dead, and brain dead, with a lovely crater in his chest courtesy of Nick’s spectacular marksmanship.

Quimby agrees but, it must be in “Springfield tradition” with three short stories. Lisa continues to tell tales inspired by Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, Sherlock Holmes, and Scooby Doo.

URAHARA is the story of three friends joining together to save their hometown from alien invaders. Based on the webcomic/manga PARK Harajuku: Crisis Team!, the show is filled with flashy colors and cute character designs.

English Dub Review: Star Blazers 2199 “A World I Once Saw”
Last week we caught Melda Ditz, a Gamilian, this week we let her go and learn that maybe people from Earth aren’t entirely innocent in the war against a race of beings that is essentially identical to us in every way except skin color. For the first time this season, Star Blazers shows it’s true colors in terms of the underlying pretense that is as important today than at any time in our nation’s history.
