As president and CEO, he fostered relationships with joint venture partners and a host of professionals, including operators and engineers, focusing on the exploration and development of gas, oil, and mineral resources.

Cagle's foray into the drilling service market began in 2006 through a partnership with Midcontinent Drilling. He financed the construction of a 2000 horsepower drilling rig capable of reaching depths up to 20,000 feet, marking a significant technological advancement in his business endeavors.

2011 saw Reed expand into the mining sector, starting with a successful mining concession in Oregon that produced a remarkable 89,000 ounces of gold. He also ventured into Chile, where he played a crucial role in the operations and financial management of a gold and copper processing facility in Copiapo. During this period, he developed a groundbreaking process to remove toxic materials from liquids in mining operations, enhancing safety and efficiency.

Currently residing in Plano, Texas, Cagle continues to offer his consulting expertise to local oil and energy companies, particularly mid-sized independents. In addition to his engagements in the oil and gas sector, he consults for a large landscaping company that operates across East and Central Texas.

Actively involved in his church, he often leads men's fellowship activities and is an enthusiastic golfer, regularly playing with his son and organizing charity golf tournaments.

He is also the founder and principal officer of Outreachers, a Christian, non-denominational charity organization. The charity has had a broad impact, providing financial assistance and infrastructure in Colorado, Texas, and internationally.
