For years, flooding was a problem for the Garden Hills, where thousands of people live in north Champaign near Interstate 74. Flooding issues in Garden Hills and other low-lying communities have the potential for becoming worse as rainfall intensifies due to climate change. The City of Champaign is addressing these issues through the Garden Hills Neighborhood drainage project.

“Pressure” is a war film about the 72-hours before D-Day. The movie stars Andrew Scott who plays James Stagg, the chief meteorological officer. Stagg is tasked with forecasting the weather for the Allied Invasion. Whether or not there are clear skies and calm seas determines if the allied forces proceed with the most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.
