More scattered showers and storms will be possible through the end of the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across Houston and Southeast Texas the rest of today and through the weekend. A few storms could produce gusty winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning, but coverage will remain uneven. Clouds, showers and storms will keep temperatures mainly in the low to mid 90s inland, with upper 80s to lower 90s near the coast.

The weather in the Houston area will be unsettled for the rest of the week. A daily round of showers and storms is expected through the weekend. Rain coverage will vary each day, so any location could pick up a locally heavy downpour. With daily storm chances around 50% for the next few days, rain could pile up and cause a few flooding issues. Parts of Chambers & Liberty counties are included in a low 1 out of 4 risk for street flooding by Saturday. Any flooding should be isolated but is possible.
