Leaders between Chisholm and Hibbing are renewing talks about collaboration. School is out for the summer. But for school board members in Chisholm and Hibbing, the educating continues. Both boards met on Wednesday to discuss what collaboration could look like in the future. The discussion was facilitated by members of the Minnesota School Boards Association. They said the focus should be about student success and new opportunities, not about saving money.

For those who served it up so many times for Hibbing, a chance to go down memory lane. There is a Bluejacket Alumni Tennis Reunion planned for this weekend. Marcy Johnson and Sandy Swanger played doubles together in high school, and are excited for the event. Sandy told us, “We had great leadership, great support. And a great summer and school program.” Marcy praised their coaches, Gary Conda and Milt Verant, who had such a passion for the game.
