1. Introduction Cotton is grown worldwide owing to its high economic value. More than 90 percent of natural fiber is produced from cotton, and it is cultivated in almost 80 countries worldwide. Cotton is considered a cash crop that feeds 250 million people around the globe according to the US National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO).

Abstract : Phosphorus (P), an essential macronutrient, plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of plants. However, the limited availability of phosphorus in soil presents significant challenges for crop productivity, especially when plants are subjected to abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity and extreme temperatures.
