LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man died after crashing into a tree Saturday evening in Okolona. According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were dispatched around 6:15 p.m. to the 9900 block of Blue Lick Road on a reported crash. When officers arrived, they found a pickup truck that had crashed. They believe the male driver, the sole occupant, lost control while heading south and went off the pavement.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died after being hit by a vehicle in the Fern Creek area early Sunday morning. Louisville Metro Police said officers were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. on a reported crash and pedestrian struck near Bardstown Road and South Watterson Trail. Investigators said an unoccupied vehicle was stopped in the left lane of Bardstown Road, just north of Watterson Trail, from a previous collision.

2 lanes of I-65 South in Louisville reopen early, transportation officials say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two lanes of Interstate 65 South reopened ahead of schedule after crews made "significant progress" in the project to replace three aging overpasses. In an update on Sunday night, project officials said the interstate, from University Boulevard to Interstate 264, reopened at 8:15 p.m. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet originally said Friday it would reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. Monday, June 29, up from the original reopening date of July 1.
