The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred tonight in Metairie. Police say around 9 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of S. Cumberland St. for a shooting. Deputies arrived to find a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin. There is no suspect or motive information available at this time.
