I was a junior journalist at a community newspaper.

I may have as a very young child but I have not in my professional career.

Grammarly, CMS, CrowdTangle, social media platforms and so many more.

Why did you become a journalist?
I enjoy journalism because I love changing people's lives, adding value to their lives, brightening their day and informing them.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I did not.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I have so many. I love human interest stories, so anything that evokes strong emotions in the readers I am proud of.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Writing has to be your passion. A creative mindset is vital. Prepare to work odd hours. Be open to criticism.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time between 8am and 4pm, Tuesday to Friday.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
The pitch had no topic in the subject line, it was only 1 sentence and did not explain if the writer would interview anyone (experts etc).
What's your favorite drink?
Rooibos tea or water (yes, I am that boring).
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With my family, on the beach or cooking.
