1. Introduction It has been shown that the key abiotic factor limiting plant growth is soil salinity, which negatively affects a number of biochemical and physiological processes. In order to preserve vital cellular functions such as photosynthesis, antioxidant synthesis, mineral homeostasis, osmolyte synthesis, and respiration from salt stress, plants modify their metabolic mechanisms [1,2]. These mechanisms work together by altering the metabolism and activating biochemical pathways.
