New stats show monthly inflation is still too high, making a rate rise in August much more likely. Inflation rose 3.8% over the last 12 months, a slight decline from last month but still too high. What's next: The RBA meets on 11 August to decide whether to hold or raise the cash rate. The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released its latest monthly inflation statistics, which show an annual inflation rate of 3.8%.
