Michael Wilbon Makes Opinion On ESPN's Bronny James Coverage Clear Original
ESPN personality Michael Wilbon isn't afraid to call out nonsense when he sees it. He made that extremely clear this week. Wilbon, one half of ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption," spoke to Bobby Burack of OutKick about a plethora of topics. They started their conversation by talking about LeBron James' feud with Stephen A. Smith. Although things have gotten pretty ugly over the past week, Wilbon has zero interest in entertaining their drama. "They can go at it.
NFL Owners Considering Major Change To Regular-Season Schedule
The NFL is constantly looking to expand its dominance on the sports calendar. The season lasts for the entire fall and much of the winter, and fans are still locked in during the spring for free agency and the NFL Draft. There are only a few dormant weeks between the draft and the start of training camp, but the league is looking to capture at least one of them with a new amendment to the schedule.
Gavin Newsom Doesn't Hold Back Thoughts On 'Toxic' Democrats
For the second time this month, California Gov. Gavin Newsom has made comments that don't exactly align with the Democratic Party's beliefs. A few weeks ago, Newsom sat down with right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk for an extensive interview. At one point during their conversation, they talked about transgender athletes competing in women's sports. Kirk bluntly asked Newsom, "Would you say no men in female sports?" His response was very interesting.

According to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL owners are expected to discuss the possibility of adding an 18th game to the schedule for future seasons during the meetings next week. If the league does go to 18 regular season games, the preseason would likely be cut down from three games to two.

Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick celebrated her 43rd birthday earlier this week in style. Her last race ever was the Daytona 500. She hasn't fully moved on from the sport though. Over the past few years, she has covered a handful of races for NBC Sports and SkySports.
Rick Pitino Had Telling Response To RJ Luis' Transfer Announcement
RJ Luis Jr. won't be coming back to St. John's for the 2025-26 season. On Saturday morning, ESPN's Jonathan Givony confirmed that Luis has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility. The reigning Big East Player of the Year has also entered the NCAA transfer portal. That should close the book on his run with the Red Storm. During the 2024-25 season, Luis averaged 18.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for St. John's.
Deion Sanders Has Changed His NFL Draft Plans For Shedeur
For well over the past year, Deion Sanders has stated multiple times that he'd have a say in where Shedeur ends up in the NFL. During an appearance on the Tamron Hall Show in January, the Colorado football coach said he wouldn't let his son compete for a couple of teams in the NFL. However, he refused to name any teams. "It’s not like who I would like for him to play for. It’s a couple of teams that I won’t allow him to play for," Sanders said. "So it’s not like that. But this is my profession.

Will RJ Luis Jr. return to St. John's for the 2025-26 season? Moments ago, fans of the Red Storm received an answer to that question. Luis had an exceptional season at St. John's, averaging 18.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Unfortunately for the Big East Player of the Year, he came up short in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. His struggles against Arkansas were so visible that Rick Pitino had no choice but to bench him during the final minutes of the game.
St. John's basketball happy with bye weekend despite winning streak
Common sense says the St. John's basketball bye weekend is coming at the worst time possible for the Red Storm. Rick Pitino disagrees. The Johnnies have catapulted themselves back into the NCAA Tournament bubble after three consecutive wins, the latter two being the most important against then No. 15 Creighton and Butler. Each was a Quad 1 win for the Red Storm, which have accumulated four such victories this season. That number can grow with a strong finish to the season by Villanova.

After slumping in Milano, Panathinaikos added to their back court with the signing of Andy Rautins. There appears however to be room for one more move and Emmet Ryan feels the Greens need to strike it big Andy Rautins is a risk as a signing but one with significant upside. Rick Pitino defends himself — and claims firing ruined players’ careers
In 2017, the University of Louisville basketball program was implicated — along with five other programs — in a federal investigation of college basketball that exposed bribery and corruption. Rick Pitino, who had coached the team for 16 years, was identified by the investigation. The findings alleged that he had been part of a plan to funnel $100,000 — with the help of Adidas — to the family of a recruit in exchange for joining the Louisville Cardinals. It is a charge Pitino unequivocally denies.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Rick Pitino watched in amazement as the Michigan Wolverines made 11 second-half 3-pointers, many from well beyond the arc. The first comparison that came to mind was the NBA's Golden State Warriors. "The amazing thing to me is you look at the size of the players that Michigan has, and they shoot it like backcourt players. That's what's really coming on," Pitino said last weekend in Indianapolis, where the Cardinals were eliminated by Michigan.

Whether the elder Pitino, 62, follows through on that plan remains to be seen, and for what it's worth, Richard Pitino isn't buying it. The Armed Forces Classic will be the second meeting between the Pitinos, who met in 2012 during Richard's lone season as Florida International's coach. Louisville won 79-55.
