The question is not whether we will pay for our infrastructure, but whether we will pay for it through investments today or through costly failures tomorrow. It is high time to face reality for what it is: the club’s management is not conducting any secret talks with Xabi Alonso and does indeed plan to entrust the team to Arne Slot for next season. And yes, the number of criticisms levelled at the Dutchman following this campaign is more than substantial. In many respects, they are entirely justified.
