After nearly two years in operation, Manc Sport will be finishing up in April. The project was originally initiated by its founder as a way to provide local sports coverage in between roles. It has since grown to a volunteer team of more than 20 and has seen former writers go on to work at organisations as varied as professional football clubs, and the BBC. We would like to thank everyone who has worked with Manc Sport and our readers over the last two years.

Crewe Alexandra Women defeated FC United of Manchester with two goals scored by Iris Bray, writes Jovan Radjawane. Crewe Alexandra Women travelled to Manchester to face FC United of Manchester Women. Despite playing at the opponent's territory, The Alex managed to stun the home side. Within ten minutes after kick-off, the away side registered two goals. The first goal came in the fourth minute. Jess Sheridan passed the ball towards the penalty area with a powerful long-range kick.

Bury FC is back to their winning ways in the NPL West after a victory away at Chasetown, writes Rizki Ramadhan Putra. Bury is coming with confidence with third position on the table, and winning the previous match at home against Chasetown 4-0 in October. The interim manager, Tim Lees, was absent due to an emergency work situation. Sam Ashton stepped into the pitch side to accompany the Shakers as they travelled away to The Scholars Ground on Saturday afternoon, January 31.
