McNulty, from model team-mate to American dream
Thanks to his tactical sense and an underrated physical potential, Brandon McNulty took advantage of an American squad that has been tightknit since their teenage years to claim the title of a lifetime, thus stepping out of the shadow of Tadej Pogačar, for whom he is a model team-mate for the rest of the year.
Street fight, suspense and surprise winner in Montreal
Brandon McNulty caused an upset and won a completely crazy world championship. The final race in Montreal was a fierce, non-stop scrap in which the favourites Remco Evenepoel, Isaac Del Toro and Paul Seixas ended up burning their wings. – By Alexandre Roos | L’Equipe (Photography by Stefano Sirotti) The elite men’s road race – the final event of the 2026 worlds in Montreal – wore us out.

Tasmanian Felicity Wilson-Haffenden has become the latest Australian to win a time trial world championship in the under-23 category, and the first Australian female to claim the rainbow jersey in what is a relatively new event on the UCI’s program.
Worlds gallery: elite men’s TT, a study of styles
– Photography by Stefano Sirotti. Reporting from Montreal by Alexandre Roos (Cycling editor, L’Equipe) By winning the World Championships time trial on Sunday in Montreal, Belgian rider Remco Evenepoel has further cemented his place in the history of the discipline. Remco Evenepoel is the first rider to win the world championships time trial four times in a row, after his titles in Glasgow, Zurich, Kigali and now Montreal on Sunday afternoon.
Evenepoel in the pantheon of time trial champions
On Sunday in Montreal, Remco Evenepoel became the first in history to win the time trial rainbow jersey four times in a row, making him the ultimate heir to the legends of the discipline. – By Luc Herincx (L’Equipe) To the epic sound of the Sunday evening djembe players in Parc du Mont-Royal, above the city of Montreal, Remco Evenepoel raised an imaginary telescope to his eye, looking “towards the future” – as he put it philosophically – then held up four fingers with his hand.
Specialized bikes in the pro peloton (2005-2026)
This is huge collections of the bikes from the retrospective series featuring bike brands in the pro peloton. Specialized has been one of the most prolific team sponsors over last 20 years, and this gallery includes 40 bikes that have essentially been raced to victory in the world’s biggest races.
Enric Mas, a Spanish winner of La Vuelta a España!
By Pierre Menjot (L’Equipe) Long seen as the heir to Alberto Contador and then heavily criticised for his style and a curious lack of results, Movistar’s Enric Mas made peace with his destiny – and his fans – by becoming the first Spanish winner of the Vuelta a España since Contador in 2014. The signs bearing his name sprang up on the roadside during the final weekend of the 2026 Vuelta a España and Enric Mas almost took the time to read them one by one.
Colnago bikes in the pro peloton (2004-2026)
Continuing the retrospective series about bikes raced in the pro peloton we trace the history of the celebrated Italian brand, Colnago, which has been riding a wave of success on the racing scene again thanks to its association with UAE Team Emirates-XRG after a few years supplying bikes to lower-tiered teams. Colnago has a long history of supplying trade teams with bikes before this period, including one of the most dominant teams of the 1990s, Mapei (through to its final season in 2002).
Florida Amendment 3 for 2026 - Big property tax exemption
For the November 3, 2026, general election, among the candidates and issues there are 3 amendments on the Florida ballot. I will try my best to give a non-partisan explanation of this amendment and a brief history of property taxes and property tax exemptions. Taxing real estate has been happening for thousands of years. Even back to ancient Egypt there are records of direct property taxes being levied by Pharaoh. In the United States by the 1790s most states were taxing land in one way or another.
BMC bikes in the pro peloton – 2004-2026 (Cycling Retrospective)
We continue a team bike retrospective with a look at the progression of BMC, a brand associated with the pro cycling peloton over a considerable span of time – with both bike supply, and naming-rights sponsorship. In recent years the BMC bike brand has appeared again in some of cycling’s biggest road races courtesy of a sponsorship of Tudor Pro Cycling.
Cannondale bikes in the pro peloton – 2004-2026
Cannondale first appeared in the top-tier pro cycling peloton in the 1990s when it supplied bikes to the Italian Saeco team that included a roster of star riders including the curious, charismatic sprinter Mario Cipollini. The US brand has maintained a presence in the world’s biggest races every year since, with one exception 2006.
Luke Tuckwell interview: racing the Vuelta with Roglič
Luke Tuckwell is part of the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe team that’s currently racing the final Grand Tour of the season, the Vuelta a España. On the first rest day of the Vuelta, we had a chance to talk about a race that has evolved dramatically in recent days. Tadej Pogacar crashed out [of the Vuelta] during stage eight and the dynamic of racing, in theory, was likely to change in the absence of the former race leader.
New-look Vuelta after Pogačar crashes out
By Luc Herincx (L’Equipe) With 22 race wins during the 2026 season – a tally that includes three of cycling’s five one-day ‘Monuments’ as well as his record-equalling fifth Tour de France title – Tadej Pogačar was expected to surpass his record of 25 victories from 2024. Even before he lined up for his second appearance in the Vuelta a España, this year has already seen him achieve an unprecedented list of conquests.
Ride in Ehime, Japan – your next cycling holiday?
“To anyone who is new to cycling and is looking for a good adventure, come here! To anyone who has ridden all their lives – like me, come here! To anyone who wants to just get an understanding of what joy can come from the act of pedalling, come here!” My summary of a stunning ride in Ehime as part of a visit to Japan in November 2025 suggests this part of the world is perfect for cycling.
Creating community – Zwift’s Tour de France Femmes sponsorship
“When we kicked off the race sponsorship [in 2022], 18 percent of new accounts were women on Zwift. That’s up to 23 to 24 percent, and I think it even might be higher than that now,” says Kate Veronneau about the virtual training platform that, she believes, is as much about building community as it is about improving fitness. “That’s huge growth when you consider how hard it’s been to get women into this sport.
Team Bike Gallery / UAE Team Emirates-XRG + Colnago
This team bike gallery features the evolution of title sponsors and brands for what is now the number-one team in the world, UAE Team Emirates-XRG. Essentially this team emerged out of the ashes of what was once Lampre, a brand that had a strong link with Italian brands (Wilier key amongst them) but there was also that season (2005) when Cannondale muscled its way in to the bike supply after a merger with what was the Saeco team.

Inside Nearly Two Decades of Team Netcompany INEOS Race Bikes
We’re kicking off what will become a long-running series looking back at the bikes raced by Tour de France teams over the past two decades. First up is the team now known as Netcompany INEOS. Before that it was INEOS Grenadiers, and before that, Team Sky. Despite the changes in name, one thing remained constant throughout the team’s rise to Grand Tour dominance: Pinarello.

The Cycling Life: Respect for bike riders
Maybe it was dumb luck. For a week, we rode our bikes without incident. It was beautiful terrain with stunning views. Throughout the adventure in Ehime, Japan, all interactions we had with other road users were fuss-free. We rode. They drove. And everyone went about their day. We shared a space, and there was room for everyone. What made it feel so different is summed up with one word. Respect. It all seemed so easy. With respect, life is so much easier.
The Cycling Life: a healthy habit
There are, of course, times when I pause and wonder: ‘Why the hell am I doing this?’ But the pedals keep turning and the ride continues even if the voice in my head is trying to suggest that going for a bike ride doesn’t always make sense. An example of one such moment springs to mind. Nothing dramatic happened but for a few minutes of a six-hour ride I was compelled to yell.
Thank You, Benton Community: A Farewell from the Heart
VAN HORNE — After 17 unforgettable years, it’s time for me to say goodbye to Benton Community Schools. Benton has been a place that has been so much more than just where I worked. It has been my home, my purpose, and truly my life. When I first stepped into Benton as a Middle School Social Studies teacher, I had no idea just how deeply this district would shape me. Over time, the community entrusted me with greater responsibility, allowing me to serve as an administrator and leader.

Praise be sun, praise be moon shivered shoregrass, channeled surf, pattern-cut glass. Praise your feet at the seething shore, siphoned sand. Praise delta churn and bracken strand.
