A pathway towards decentralized studies of radioactive post-lead elements and their applications in beyond standard model physics
Abstract Molecules have proven to be sensitive tools for studying physics beyond the Standard Model, with heavy and deformed nuclei offering decisive sensitivity to parity- and time-reversal-violating effects. However, almost all elements beyond lead, occupying the 6p to 5f atomic orbitals, lack stable isotopes; hence molecules containing them are referred to as radioactive molecules.
Part 2: Hands-on tc Framework: Building a Full-Stack Async API with Pages
This post will show a practical, hands-on example that implements a serverless topology using the tc (Topology Composer) framework. It supports synchronous entry points with asynchronous real-time updates. You will construct a REST API (API Gateway Routes) backed by a Lambda producer. This Lambda producer emits an event to a an EventBridge Bus, which the framework routes to an AppSync Channel for Websocket broadcast via a secondary notifier function.
Intro to tc Cloud Functors: A Graph-First Mental Model for the Modern Cloud
This is the first part of a multipart series introducing tc Cloud Functors The Monolith in the Desert Problem Sometimes I feel like the Forrest Gump of computing, having worked on or been around everything from the introduction of mini and microcomputers to starting an ISDN ISP in 1993, pioneering international server farms, and building early e-commerce sites through the earliest days of the cloud, working with AWS in 2008.
Chirality Induced in Tetraethyllead through Noncovalent Interactions with a Chiral Tag
Spectral Analysis and Structural Characterization The D2d point group symmetry of TEL makes it nonpolar ( Figure 1 ), therefore it cannot be directly studied using pure rotational spectroscopy.
Chirality Induced in Tetraethyllead through Noncovalent Interactions with a Chiral Tag
Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Chirality, from the atomic level to the molecules of life, represents a key characteristic of the intrinsic asymmetry of nature. (1) Since the groundbreaking discovery of parity nonconservation (PNC) in atomic nuclei, electroweak parity-violating (PV) effects have also been suggested as a fundamental force responsible for various chiral behaviors in molecular physics, chemistry, and biology.

Rodón, R. Lewis, Detmers, N. Lowe, D. Williams
Rodón is cruising... Carlos Rodón (LHP, NYY) has a 3.24 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 27% K%, and 9% BB% in 152 innings. He is having one of his best seasons since 2022. Can Ródon sustain his success?
Turner, Strider, Vaughn, M. Miller, X. Edwards
Turner stays steady ... The 2025 season is going well for Trea Turner (SS, PHI), as he has a $37 R$. What's behind his success?
Gilbert, Ober, L. Sosa, Carpenter, Clement
Gilbert falling short of repeat … Logan Gilbert (RHP, SEA) has fallen short of expectations in 2025, both in terms of his ratios and his workload. Let's see how things are looking under the hood.
Stanton, Kikuchi, Wallner, Severino, Kwan
Stanton is cooking in the 2025 small sample... Giancarlo Stanton (UT, NYY) has 12 home runs and a .299 BA in 162 plate appearances in 2025 after missing significant time with an elbow injury. Is his production legitimate or fluky in 2025? Let’s examine Stanton’s underlying metrics.
Devers, E. Pérez, Harris II, R. Rodríguez, Vientos
Devers moves coasts ... A June trade moved Rafael Devers (3B/1B, SF) from Boston to San Francisco. How is the slugger faring?
B. Abreu, Correa, Flaherty, Altuve, Y. Diaz
Abreu takes over closing duties in Houston … Bryan Abreu (RHP, HOU) is the closer in Houston now that Josh Hader (LHP, HOU) is unlikely to return before the postseason. Does he have the skills to handle the job?
Spotlight: Junior Caminero
Junior Caminero (3B, TB) is Breaking Out Caminero teased us with his 8.5% barrel per plate appearance rate and 116.3 mph maximum exit velocity in 2024 across 177 plate appearances. It can be risky to project data from a small sample into a larger one, but Caminero’s power is legitimate. He has been drastically outperforming his power skills, evidenced by his PX compared to his xPX. However, the main issue seems to be the launch angles and consistencies.
William Contreras, Priester, Steer, JoJo Romero, O. Lopez
Contreras' value declines ... After his $23 R$ in 2024, there were high expectations for William Contreras (C, MIL). The catcher has played through a fractured finger in 2025. Contreras has not provided the same level of production, as he has an $11 R$. How are his skills holding up?
Langeliers, Walker, Eovaldi, O'Hoppe, Wacha
Langeliers: Contact is king … Through the end of June, Shea Langeliers (C, ATH) was delivering about what we expected from the 27-year-old: HR pop with little BA support. He picked up the pace with a .293-7 HR month of July, and he's so far owned August, including a 3-homer game vs. Washington. We've known Langeliers had power, but is he also becoming an all-around better hitter before our eyes?
Scherzer, R. Greene, Houser, Toro, Whitlock
Injuries have taken a toll on Scherzer... Max Scherzer (RHP, TOR) has a 4.39 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 27% K%, and 5% BB% in 41 innings. If Scherzer continues to struggle, it would be the worst outcome of his career. What do Scherzer's underlying metrics indicate?
F. Freeman, M. Gore, Happ, Romano, L. Gurriel Jr.
Freeman slows down ... An offseason ankle surgery for Freddie Freeman (1B, LA) led to some lost time in April. While he hit well in May, he hit .200 in June and .253 in July. What's going on with his skills?
Bregman, Gausman, J. Naylor, C. Smith, Heim
Bregman continuing strong season after returning from IL … Alex Bregman (3B, BOS) missed about six weeks due to a strained right quad after an excellent start to his Red Sox tenure. Now that he's back, can he keep up the pace?
Spotlight: Bryan Woo
INTRODUCTION In his young career, Bryan Woo has posted some impressive real-baseball and fantasy results. But a close study shows that while Woo does have a useful collection of skills—excellent command first among them—those skills establish more of a floor than a ceiling. And that ceiling could well be lower than many fantasy managers might expect. He has an array of slightly above-average pitches, but still hasn’t established a dominant pitch, especially for left-handed hitters (LHH).
Buxton, Crochet, G. Torres, Lauer, Arozarena
Stay healthy, Buxton... Byron Buxton (OF, MIN) has been relatively healthy in 2025, inching toward one of his highest plate appearance totals. He has 23 home runs, 17 stolen bases, and a .282 BA in 364 PA. Buxton could be pushing toward a career-best season in his 11th season. Have any skills changed? Or is health his main hurdle?
Abrams, Imanaga, Stowers, Doval, T. Freeman
Abrams increases R$ ... Improving his batting average has helped CJ Abrams (SS, WAS) boost his R$ in 2025. What's behind the success?
R. Olson, Rooker, Cecconi, Peña, Woods Richardson
Let's see Olson stay healthy... Reese Olson (RHP, DET) has a 2.71 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 24% K%, and 9% BB% in 63 innings. After dealing with a finger injury, can Olson remain healthy to reach a career-best in 2025? What do Olson's skills indicate?
K. Marte, Boyd, T. Hernández, Pagán, S. Murphy
Despite missing a month with a hamstring injury, Marte is putting up another outstanding season … Missing most of the month of April has barely slowed Ketel Marte (2B, ARI) down. At his current rate of production, he would be among the league leaders in R, HR, and RBI if he hadn't missed time early in the season. Can he keep it up?
Story, T. Rogers, M. Vargas, Giolito, Morel
Story is bouncing back in 2025... Trevor Story (SS, BOS) has 15 home runs, 16 stolen bases, and a .257 BA in 384 PA in 2025. Story battled Tommy John surgery and a significant left shoulder injury that impacted his previous two seasons. Have any of Story's skills improved? Let's examine his underlying metrics.
Soto, Strahm, Reynolds, Rea, J. Lee
Soto warms up ... In June, Juan Soto (OF, NYM) hit 11 HR with 20 RBI and a 163 BPV. With a strong month, how are his 2025 skills?
Baz, Rice, Berrios, Ward, Volpe
Baz not liking new home … It's been a year since Shane Baz (RHP, TAM) returned to an MLB mound after Tommy John robbed him of two seasons. While last year's 14 starts were promising (3.06 ERA), the results this year have been disappointing so far, especially the 5.47 ERA at his home park. Have his struggles been skills-related or bad luck?
G. Williams, Benintendi, Kirby, C. Seager, J. Ryan
Williams lacks control... Gavin Williams (RHP, CLE) has a 3.61 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 23% K%, and 13% BB% in 92 innings. That's the worst WHIP of his career. After an extensive elbow injury in 2024, let's examine the skills of Williams and whether he can improve the WHIP.
S. Gray, Stott, C. Holmes, Doyle, Lux
Gray still has the skills ... With a five-pitch mix, Sonny Gray (RHP, STL) has a $16 R$ through 17 starts. How are his 2025 skills shaping up?
Adell, Bichette, F. Valdez, Rafaela, R. Garcia
Adell finally living up to his promise … Jo Adell (OF, LAA) may have added a few steps to the “A Rod 10-Step Path to Stardom" (p. 50 of the Baseball Forecaster--also referenced here), but he's finally having a productive MLB season. He's earned $13 5x5 so far. Is this production a fact or a fluke?
SPOTLIGHT: Cal Raleigh
Before the 2025 season started, 30-HR power with a lower batting average was expected for Cal Raleigh (C, SEA). The catcher has provided power, added stolen bases, and improved his batting average. What has changed?
Tucker, Abbott, Perdomo, D. Lee, Betts
Tucker is performing well... Kyle Tucker (OF, CHC) missed about three months with a shin injury in 2024, leading to only 23 home runs, 11 stolen bases, and a .289 BA in 336 PA. Tucker has nearly matched or exceeded the 2024 production in 2025, with 17 home runs, 20 steals, and a .291 BA in 370 PA. Have any of Tucker's skills changed?
Olson, C. Sánchez, McCutchen, T. Scott, Stephenson
Olson heated up in May ... The home runs declined for Matt Olson (1B, ATL) in 2024. In 2025, he's on a pace close to his 2024 HR total after hitting eight home runs in May. How is his 2025 profile looking?
W. Smith, Ty. Megill, Arraez, Castellanos, Soroka
Smith having his best season … After a strong start to 2024, Will Smith (C, LAD) faded during the second half. Smith is off to another strong start in 2025. What are his prospects for keeping it up this year?
T. Bradley, Torkelson, Pepiot, India, Lugo
Bradley's xERA teases us... Taj Bradley (RHP, TAM) has been struggling in 2025, with a 4.95 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 21% K%, and 9% BB% in 80 innings. His xERA has been better than his actual results in each of his seasons and throughout his career. Will Bradley's results align with the xERA? What do his skills indicate?
Witt Jr., Springs, Laureano, Kirk, M. Miller
Witt's HRs down, SB up … With an ADP of 2, the pre-season outlook was sky-high for Bobby Witt Jr. (SS, KC). Fantasy managers who drafted him expected excellent power numbers with a strong BA, and for him to be among the league leaders in steals. As we approach the halfway mark, should we reset our expectations?
Judge, Bubic, Springer, Francis, J. Báez
Judge has been unreal... Aaron Judge (OF, NYY) has 26 home runs, six stolen bases, and a .377 BA in 316 plate appearances. That's not a typo on his BA. Has Judge possibly become even better? What do the skills say?
Machado, Taillon, Nimmo, A.Uribe, Sheets
Machado spikes BA ... To add to his power and stolen bases, Manny Machado (3B, SD) is hitting .318 in 2025. How are his 2025 skills?
E. Díaz, Realmuto, Pivetta, Chapman, Hayes

K. Carpenter, Bello, Kwan, Paddack, J. Meyers
Carpenter is surging... Kerry Carpenter (OF, DET) has 13 home runs, one stolen base, and a .274 BA in 229 PA in 2025. He dealt with injuries over the past two seasons, which led to limited opportunities. Could Carpenter have a breakout season?
Harris II, Peterson, Adames, Adam, Wil. Contreras
Harris II's power drops ... Even with a lower R$ in 2024, Michael Harris II (OF, ATL) still finished with double-digit HR and SB. He has a lower HR total in 2025. How are his skills?
Bellinger, Morton, Eflin, Waters, Vargas
Bellinger has his best Brl%, Avg Exit Vel, and Max EV since his 2019 MVP season … Some of Cody Bellinger's (1B/OF, NYY) power and hard-hit metrics are his best since his monster MVP season, when he had 47 HR and a .305/.406/.629 slash. While a repeat of that season is not in the cards, what can we expect from him?
Spotlight: Lars Nootbaar
Plate Discipline and Batted Ball Approach Lars Nootbaar (OF, STL) battled injuries (back, thumb, rib, and oblique), causing him to miss around 50 days per season over the past two years (2023-2024). Nootbaar's skills teased us with the plate discipline and power, though the volume wasn't there. If healthy, we should see career-best counting stats across the board.

A lifelong farmer, Bob worked the land south of Jerseyville with commitment and pride.
Skubal, Neto, L. Castillo, Ma. Garcia, Corbin
Skubal is elite... Tarik Skubal (LHP, DET) rocks a 2.26 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, 34% K%, and 2% BB% in 75 innings. He posted an elite, ace-like season in 2024. Can he replicate 2024? Have Skubal's skills improved?
Miller, deGrom, Goldschmidt, Holliday, Rutschman
Miller falling well short of expectations … Bryce Miller (RHP, SEA) had an excellent 2024 campaign, one in which he reached 180 IP while registering a sub-3.00 ERA. Things haven't gone nearly as well here in 2025, as he's sitting on a 5.36 ERA nine starts in. What has changed, and is a rebound coming?
Yelich, R. Walker, Swanson, Nelson, Bohm
Yelich sees contact decline ... Entering the season, health was a question mark for Christian Yelich (OF/DH, MIL) due to his back problems. He's been healthy but he has a lower batting average in 2025. Any concerns?
Hader, O'Hearn, Yan. Díaz, I. Paredes, Rasmussen
Hader on track to be a top five closer yet again ... Josh Hader (LHP, HOU) has consistently been one of the top closers in the game since he became a full-time closer in 2019. Is there any reason to expect this run of excellence to end?
J. Polanco, H. Brown, W. Abreu, J. Soriano,Schanuel
Polanco is scorching hot... Jorge Polanco (2B, SEA) has nine home runs and one stolen base, with a .369 BA in 92 plate appearances. He averaged 14-15 home runs over the previous three seasons. How sustainable is Polanco's early production? Do Polanco's skills support it?
Carroll, H. Greene, Edman, Parker, Yastrzemski
Is Greene taking another step forward? … Hunter Greene (RHP, CIN) finished 2024 with his first sub-4.00 ERA, a shiny 2.75 mark, and owns a terrific 2.53 ERA through 42 IP in 2025. How are the skills?
Eovaldi, Mize, Mountcastle, Soderstrom, Giménez
Eovaldi looking like an ace… Nathan Eovaldi (RHP, TEX) has been dominant through his first seven starts of 2025, as he boasts a 2.11 ERA. Let's check in on how the skills compare to those from the past few seasons.
