Joe Donofro, an architect on a project to refurbish the old Howell School building, told Dothan government officials this week he hopes construction begins on the project at the beginning of 2018.Donofro, speaking in front of the Dothan Historic Preservation Committee, said the project to install apartments for seniors in the venerable building will include retrofitted windows and the masonry and terra cotta will be refurbished to keep the building’s historical look.
