1 INTRODUCTION Lung cancer is the third most common cancer globally, plagued by 5-year survival rates of around 20%1 and remains the leading cause of cancer-related death.2, 3 Severe symptoms and treatment side effects contribute to the highest disease burden of any cancer.4 It is therefore critically important to be able to evaluate the determinants and impacts of lung cancer on patient-reported quality of life (QoL).
