Interview

How is social media changing news?

It's changing both for the good and the bad. Good because it helps diversify coverages. Bad because it urges speed.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Telling the truth and adding context to things.

What's your favorite social network?

X (formerly, Twitter)

Why did you become a journalist?

Because I am passionate about telling stories of women's basketball players.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes, I did. I was an editor at my high school newspaper in Brazil.

When's the best time to pitch you?

1pm til 8pm

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Reading, playing video game, watching TV or playing with my dog.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That I cover only one team. My coverage is focused on the broader spectrum of women's basketball on and off the court.
