Robin Amer is a reporter based in Chicago. Much of her work deals with urban planning, the built environment and the complex lives of post-industrial cities. Her work has aired on WBEZ, Marketplace, Re:Sound and other outlets, and has been recognized by the Society for Professional Journalists and the Chicago Headline Club.
Robin spent six years as a producer at WBEZ, where she helped the station chart new ground in multimedia and digital audio production. Before that, she worked as a producer for the public radio show Open Source and as a freelance reporter in Providence, Rhode Island.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in Art Semiotics and is currently a McCormick Tribune Leadership Scholar at the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
