The Tasmanian industry currently employs an estimated 2,595 full-time equivalents (FTEs – inclusive of processing), a number that will likely continue to grow to support the industry’s exciting high growth phase.

ABOUT SCFD Andi Eaton’s Southern Coalition of Fashion & Design is a networking and resource organization open to those in the apparel design community in the south, as well as those connected to it. The mission is to create fashion shows that are highly designer focused, as well as market and educational opportunities throughout the year. There have always been “water” jobs. They are a hidden, yet critical, workforce—one that is in place to ensure that the public has potable water and is protected from flooding and other environmental issues. While police and fire workers are rightfully hailed as heroes, water workers are rarely acknowledged for their work and, unfortunately, are seen most often only when an issue occurs.
