Rocky Nash is a seasoned media professional with over 20 years of experience in the visual arts and journalism industry. Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, she graduated from the College of Southern Nevada as an award-winning commercial photographer. Her diverse body of work has been prominently featured in magazines, on billboards, book covers, and television.
Expanding her expertise, Rocky pursued studies in international business, luxury sales, and hospitality. During a study abroad program in Chengdu, China, she completed an immersive Mandarin language program and played a pivotal role in helping a tech company achieve multinational status through her representation at trade shows in Guangzhou, China, and Gothenburg, Sweden.
In 2012, Rocky returned to the United States to explore the real estate market in New York City and broaden her professional network. Her global experiences inspired her to launch a blog, leading to successful marketing campaigns, brand partnerships, and content creation contracts with industry giants like MGM Resorts International and Google.
An early adopter of livestream broadcasting, Rocky has spoken on panels as an industry leader on topics such as “Marketing to Millennials” and “Remote Livestream Production.” She has also served as a full-time Guest Teacher for the Clark County School District (CCSD) and guest lectured at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) in the Journalism Department, where she encouraged students to leverage digital storytelling to break into traditional news media.
Rocky transitioned to journalism in October 2019, joining the 8 News Now Digital Team as a Live Producer. She quickly made her mark by publishing online stories and creating engaging social media content to ensure KLAS remains a leader in delivering Live.Local.NOW news.
In early 2021, she established a Digital Studio for KLAS-TV, enhancing the station’s ability to produce live segments and captivate viewers in real-time across various digital platforms.
Rocky continues to stay at the forefront of livestream video technology, frequently attending the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas for research, beta-testing new platforms, and upgrading her home studio.
