Discussion The utilization of maternal health services in Indonesia has yet to be optimum. Thirteen services are provided free by the government through health services facilities.19 HIV examination, case management, glucoprotein assessment, iron folic acid consumption and haemoglobin assessment are used less. These services are essential to improve and strengthen maternal morbidity and mortality risks.

Sociodemographic characteristics Table 1 shows a description of the characteristics of the girls and boys who participated in this study. Of the total 2725 individuals, 1416 were female and 1319 were male. In general, the majority of respondents were 17 years old (23%), unmarried (94.3%), junior-high-school graduates (48.9%) and current work status as students/schooling (49.5%). Regarding the location of residence, 52.3% were in rural areas.
