Racing and flying collide as MOZA launches two licensed sim controllers
Some people want to drive a Ford Mustang GTD. Others want to sit in the left seat of an Airbus. MOZA Racing just made both fantasies a little more reachable with two officially licensed controllers, and the wheel is the one Gamescom visitors got to grab ahead of launch. The MOZA × Ford Mustang GTD Sim Racing Wheel is a 330mm D-shaped wheel with a Mustang GTD logo front and center, and the MOZA AIRBUS MA3F Sidestick brings the Airbus captain's left-hand grip to flight sims for $79.

Crusader Kings III: Silk & Silver turns medieval merchants into power brokers
Who says you need an army to rule the Middle Ages? Sometimes all it takes is a well-placed caravan, a friendly loan and a rival who owes you more than he can ever repay. That's the pitch behind Crusader Kings III: Silk & Silver, a major expansion for Paradox Interactive's medieval grand strategy role-playing game. It adds trade and playable Republic governments, and it arrives November 17.

DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered brings the swamp to PC and consoles November 10

Aspyr, working with Universal, is rebuilding the 2004 action-adventure inspired by DreamWorks Animation's film. It's coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Shrek's swamp, rebuilt with better textures.
Mycopunk breaks free of Early Access with 1.0 launch on PC and PS5
Ever wanted to scrub a moon clean of killer mushrooms with three friends and a gun you built out of spare parts? Mycopunk just left Early Access behind and hit 1.0 on PC and, for the first time, PlayStation 5. Developer Pigeons at Play and publisher Devolver Digital are marking the occasion with a limited-time 50% off deal on the $14.99 game. PS5 players can also grab it through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. If you missed the Early Access run that began in July last year, here's the pitch.
Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown DLC sets sail October 29

XREAL One Pro+ unboxed and flight-tested: brighter, sharper, and easier on the face
I know what you're thinking. Didn't XREAL just release a set of glasses? Isn't the 1S still pretty new? For that matter, isn't the One Pro? I get the fatigue, but mid-cycle refreshes are the new normal in tech. Apple, Samsung, Google and Sony all do it with phones, and AR glasses are now iterating at that same smartphone speed. Honestly, you're the beneficiary. So the real question is whether the XREAL One Pro+ earns that plus sign.
The Linkind Smart Light Stick has me ready to win the holidays
Every October, my neighborhood turns into an arms race. Somebody rolls out a twelve-foot skeleton, across from them is a twelve-foot skeleton walking a dog. Out comes the fog machine that could hide a battleship, and then the cackling witches take flight...and then there's my porch light, just sitting there, being a porch light.

Shure MV6 Gen 2 Microphone Review
Shure has been shaping the sound of live entertainment for more than a century, and if you’ve watched a concert, a news broadcast, or a podcast worth listening to, you’ve heard their microphones whether you realized it or not. Their SM7 series has become the default choice for streamers who care about audio quality, but the tradeoff has always been complexity. Great sound usually means expensive interfaces, cumbersome preamps, adapter cables, and a little bit of engineering knowledge.
OLIGHT Oclip 2 is my new EDC

Treadmill Tuesdays: The Boys: Trigger Warning

Insta360 Luna Pro Review
I cannot overstate how impressed I am with the Insta360 Luna Ultra. In my review I pointed out that it has nearly everything I could possibly want in a portable camera. While I wrote the review, and in subsequent patches and updates post-launch, the team at Insta360 proceeded to fill just about every gap I’d identified.
Olight showcases new tech at O-Fan Day 2026
We cited the Olight ArkPro Mini Flashlight in our Every Day Carry recommendations earlier this year, recognizing that this is an incredibly powerful flashlight that delivers a shocking 1700 lumens and an eyebrow-raising 14 DAYS of continuous use on a single charge. Since then, Texas has experienced several more "once in a lifetime" power events, and I've doubled down on that recommendation – these are a lifesaver when the very heart of the power grid becomes reliable.
PNY launches ultra-high-performance NVMe SSD for PC / PS5
PNY recognizes that file sizes aren't getting any smaller, and they also acknowledge that the newest game engines are streaming more and more to the end user, requiring consistently high sustained reads and writes. SWIT announces Mini-150B portable lighting system
One of the fastest ways to make an interview unnecessarily distracting is with unnatural or inadequate lighting. Insta360 Luna Ultra review
I have a number of cameras that I use regularly. When you run out the door to an event, you make a mental checklist and grab your most trusted gear. I find more often that I’d rather grab a smaller portable device than my larger Sony cameras, and frequently that has been an Osmo Pocket 3. That is, until I started using the Insta360 Luna. The Insta360 Luna has solved literally every complaint I had with the Osmo Pocket 3. And if that wasn’t enough, they then iterated on every strength it had.

Some of the best Star Wars moments take place outside of The Skywalker Saga and movies. The Clone Wars, Rebels, Andor, Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, The Acolyte, comic book runs like Doctor Aphra, Darth Vader, War of the Bounty Hunters, and the novels, such as Shadow of the Sith, Fallen Star, and Last Shot; all bringing things together to interconnect a galaxy far, far away.

Murals preview
The team at Dlala Studios very clearly loved their work on Battletoads and their follow-up with Disney Illusion Islands. The challenge, of course, is that you’re working with other people’s intellectual property. Even if you love the subject matter, you’re bound by some specific rules around how those characters are drawn, portrayed, what they say, and more. Once you’ve got your feet underneath you, you probably want to test your hand at making something entirely your own.

Game of Thrones: War for Westeros hands-on preview
While we all let out a collective sigh of frustration at the final season of Game of Thrones, the prior seasons were arguably some of the most compelling television on television. While the interpersonal politics unfolded, the flashy moments were things like the Battle of the Bastards, Castle Rock, Blackwater, Winterfell, Hardhome, Astapor, and others were the vulgar displays of power that made the show shine.

There’s a familiar arc to every flight simmers’ journey. It starts with a bargain‑bin flight stick and a few tentative hours in Microsoft Flight Simulator, most of it in configuring and reconfiguring. Decisions matter in The Expanse: Osiris Reborn
There are teams in the industry who understand that choices in RPGs are what makes them rewarding. The best games are the ones where your choices come back in interesting ways later, and not just binary "good, bad, or neutral" with immediate effect. Owlcat are masters at this, with far-reaching consequences to just about any decision in games like Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader and Pathfinder: Kingmaker. It's less about finding the right or good answer, but the one with the least-worst outcome later.
