Saussurea medusa Maxim extract suppresses triple‑negative breast cancer growth by disrupting mitochondrial lipid metabolism via the PPARα/CPT1A fatty acid oxidation axis
Abstract Triple‑negative breast cancer (TNBC) lacks effective targeted therapies and exhibits pronounced metabolic plasticity. Mitochondrial lipid metabolism and fatty acid oxidation (FAO) represent potential vulnerabilities. We investigated the antitumor activity and mechanism of Saussurea medusa Maxim extract (SMME) in TNBC models. SMME was profiled by HPLC–HRMS. Antitumor phenotypes, including viability, apoptosis, migration, and ultrastructural changes, were evaluated in TNBC cells.

Algorithm to derive inherent optical properties from remote sensing reflectance in turbid and eutrophic lakes
Abstract Inherent optical properties play an important role in understanding the biogeochemical processes of lakes by providing proxies for a variety of biogeochemical quantities, including phytoplankton pigments. However, to date, it has been difficult to accurately derive the absorption coefficient of phytoplankton $[{a_{ph}}(\lambda )]$ in turbid and eutrophic waters from remote sensing.
Effects of forward models on the semi-analytical retrieval of inherent optical properties from remote sensing reflectance
Abstract Inherent optical properties (IOPs) play a key role in modulating an aquatic light field; they are the core link for remotely sensing water constituents based on ocean color remote sensing. Many semi-analytical algorithms (SAAs) have been developed to obtain IOPs from remote sensing reflectance (Rrs) data; these algorithms require a forward model (FM) to link the IOPs to Rrs. Most currently available SAAs use the FM presented by Gordon et al.[J. Geophys. Res.
Facile synthesis of monodisperse SrAl2O4:Eu2+ cage-like microspheres with excellent luminescence quantum yield
Commercial LED phosphors are usually prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method and subsequent ball milling process, which often result in non-uniform size distributions, irregular shape and impurity contamination of the phosphors. In this work, the SrAl2O4:Eu2+ cage-like microspheres with uniform size distribution and excellent photoluminescence (PL) quantum yield (QY) are prepared by an epoxide-driven sol-gel route and subsequent heat treatment in reducing atmosphere.
