As I sit upright in my bed, I look around my room and see all the “Stuff”. At my age I feel there is so much emphasis placed on downsizing, getting rid of clutter and tidying up in order that my kids won’t have to go through my Stuff when I’m dead. Research has shown that clutter causes anxiety and I don’t need any more of that. So, what is this Stuff in my room that I am referring to?

The photo above had to have been taken sometime before 1985 as Mark died on November 1, 1985 from an automobile wreck due to a grand mahal seizure. He was 37. My mother left Duncan hill and the house the night of her final beating from Claude; met up with my father, and the rest is history. Sort of. Rose told me how she went to school on the premise of actually going to class but she called my father, Sunny, told him about her beating and arranged to meet him that night.

Shelly… part three

My little sister was a very sweet soul; considering all the hatred she endured from her maternal grandfather and a good portion of our mother’s siblings, it was amazing that Shelly remained the soft, sweet soul that she was. As she approached forty, her depression grew stronger. It was in such control of her every waking moment that she would often spend days just lying in bed. I had never had such strong bouts of depression myself, until December 2020… and my depression lasted for over four years.
