A care home manager who withdrew thousands of pounds from vulnerable residents' bank accounts has been struck off the nursing register following a misconduct hearing. Claire Ann Fitzpatrick, who was employed as a manager at a care home in Cumbria, was found to have taken money without permission from two residents, according to a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) tribunal. In total, 17 out of 18 charges against the mental health nurse were proven.
