Have you heard the call of the Koel bird in your backyard yet? The first Koels have migrated south and are starting to be heard all over Canberra. Kim Farley from Canberra Birds joined Roving Reporter Mary Goode in a bird hide at Jerrabomberra Wetlands this morning on ABC Radio Canberra Breakfast. Ms Farley says the birds have become more common after first arriving in Canberra in the 1970s. Ms Farley says while they didn't used to breed here, they now do. Ms Farley says they're an interesting bird.
