Epilepsy is a prevalent neurological disease (Fisher et al., 2017) that affects more than 70 million individuals worldwide, posing a significant global health burden (Ngugi et al., 2010). The impact is especially pronounced in developing countries, where nearly 80% of people with epilepsy reside and often lack access to adequate medical care (Espinosa-Jovel et al., 2018).
