Dogs' day at the park is serious fun Posted: Updated: With Adventure Island closed for the season, the water park went to the dogs on Tuesday. But these weren't just any dogs -- some of the area's top K-9s and their handlers got special training in the park's pools. With all of the water around the Tampa Bay area, it is not unusual for officers and their K-9 partners to find themselves chasing suspects or tracking down missing persons in ponds, lakes, rivers, and even the bay.
