On July 10 1985, agents of the French secret service blew up and sank the Greenpeace vessel Rainbow warrior in Auckland harbour. The ship was on it's way to Morura Atoll in the South Pacific, to protest French nuclear weapons tests. 40 years on, activists say the attack that was designed to silence the movement, has only made it stronger. One woman's fight after deep fake porn

It was an email that changed her life. A Sydney woman received an anonymous email telling her that her name and image had been used on a deepfake pornography website. When she followed the link, she discovered that her face had been superimposed on highly sexualised images and on further inspection she found altered images of her friends on the same site. With the advent of artificial intelligence the creation of "deepfake sexually explicit material" has become easier and is becoming more prolific.
