He identified his calling as that of being “a Pastor*.” She happily identified her calling as that of being “a Pastor’s wife.” By contrast, years ago I knew a couple of women whose husbands were Pastors, but who firmly made it clear that they were not a ‘two-for-one’ partner in that work.
