1. Introduction The clinical limitations of the anthracycline (ATC) and doxorubicin (Dox), were first described in a cancer clinical trial in 1970 [1]. In this study, the cytotoxic effect of Dox not only affected the malignant tumors but also induced adverse reactions in neighboring tissues, such as the myocardium [1].
