Police say they believe two women were killed in Olney home - neither previously linked in missing persons search

At least two women were killed inside the Olney home at the center of a sprawling missing persons investigation, neither of whom had been previously linked to the case, police said Wednesday. Philadelphia Police Inspector Raymond Evers said one of the women believed to have been killed was Maribel Fresses, 27, who was last seen in February 2018. Evers identified the other women as Gabriella Amarando, born in 1990 and missing since September 2012.

What started as a routine car stop in Philly quickly evolved into a mystery concerning the fate of two missing women — and a boarded-up home in Olney that contained a confounding set of clues. In June, police encountered 44-year-old Eugene Horsch with a woman near Independence Mall, carrying drugs, illegal guns, and fake IDs. One of them featured the name of Blair Tonzelli, a woman who has been missing for three years.
