With COVID cases going down in the U.S., people are finally shedding their masks and returning to normal life. Retail shopping is rebounding, travel bookings are up, and the box office is booming. But just as these products and experiences are rebounding, one element of pre-pandemic life hasn’t fully returned just yet — and that’s full-time in-office working.

Ahead of a customer event today, Cisco revealed in a press release its latest bundled offering, new Webex features, and an all-in-one collaboration device. This news follows a separate announcement last week, that AT&T will leverage Cisco’s Unified Communications Manager – Cloud (UCMC) for its Webex Calling with AT&T service. Available now, the Webex Suite bundles meetings, calling, messaging, and event capabilities into a single offering designed to address the needs of hybrid work.

From removing the background sound of dogs barking to blurring out that in-progress home office renovation, AI-based cloud video features are as handy as they are revolutionary. But what if AI could play an even more active role, like suggesting a meeting before you even think to schedule it or providing you with crucial related content without being prompted? These might seem like sci-fi wishful thinking, but as AI advances, all and more is possible.
