Targeted BRAF/MEK inhibitor therapies have improved survival outcomes for patients with BRAF V600-positive cutaneous melanoma. However, rare neuro-ophthalmic complications attributed to these therapies warrant heightened clinical vigilance. We describe a distinct case of bilateral optic disc oedema and unilateral central serous chorioretinopathy induced by dabrafenib and trametinib in a 79-year-old male undergoing treatment for metastatic cutaneous melanoma.

Accuracy of an Artificial Intelligence Chatbot’s Interpretation of Clinical Ophthalmic Images Key Points Question How does the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT-4 (OpenAI) perform in processing ophthalmic imaging data? Findings In this cross-sectional study including 136 ophthalmic cases provided by OCTCases, the chatbot answered 70% of all multiple-choice questions correctly, performing better on nonimage–based questions (82%) than image-based questions (65%).
