Ryan Strunk

I’m currently pursuing a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Media Studies at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. My academic experience has sharpened and strengthened my interest in pursuing a career in broadcasting and digital media.

Outside the classroom, I’ve learned and applied skills in several professional roles, including as a photojournalist for WQAD 8 during the 2025 John Deere Classic, a Digital Content Producer/Weekend Assignment Manager/Videographer for WKBT News 8, and a Sports Intern, MMJ, and Assignment Editor for WXOW 19.

Whether in the field or behind a screen, I’m passionate about storytelling and using media to connect with and inform communities. I look forward to combining my academic knowledge with hands-on experience to build a long-term career in communications and journalism.
