Mechanistic Insights into Intramolecular Carbon-Carbon Bond Formation and Carbon-Boron Cyclization of Non-Conjugated Terminal Diacetylenes by Frustrated Lewis Pairs: A DFT Study
Introduction Heterocycles serve as crucial structural building blocks in more than 60% of marketed drugs.[1], [2], [3] Boron-containing compounds (BCCs) have gained prominence as versatile pharmacophores.[2], [4], [5] So far, some BCC-based drugs—including boronic acids and boroles—have gained FDA approval (i.e., bortezomib, crisaborole, tavaborole, ganfeborole, vaborbactam, ixazomib) for treating cancer, infections, and atopic dermatitis.[3], [4], [6], [7] Boron’s Lewis acidity enables it to...
Emergent dipole moment conservation and subdiffusion in tilted chains
We study transport in an interacting tilted (Stark) chain. We show that the crossover between diffusive and subdiffusive relaxation is governed by FL, where F is the strength of the field, and L is the wavelength of the excitation. While the subdiffusive behavior persists for large fields, the corresponding transport coefficient is exponentially suppressed with F so that the finite-time dynamics appears almost frozen.
Spin diffusion in a perturbed isotropic Heisenberg spin chain
The isotropic Heisenberg chain represents a particular case of an integrable many-body system exhibiting superdiffusive spin transport at finite temperatures. Here, we show that this model has distinct properties also at finite magnetization m≠0, even upon introducing the SU(2) invariant perturbations. Specifically, we observe nonmonotonic dependence of the diffusion constant D0(Δ) on the spin anisotropy Δ, with a pronounced maximum at Δ=1.
Giant anomalous thermal Hall effect in tilted type-I magnetic Weyl semimetal ${\text{Co}}_{3}{\text{Sn}}_{2}{\text{S}}_{2}$
Abstract The recent discovery of magnetic Weyl semimetal Co3Sn2S2 opens up new avenues for research into the interactions between topological orders, magnetism, and electronic correlations. Motivated by the observations of a large anomalous Hall effect because of large Berry curvature, we investigate another Berry curvature-induced phenomenon, namely the anomalous thermal Hall effect in Co3Sn2S2.
Acoustic particle trapping driven by axial primary radiation force in shaped traps
Abstract We study particle trapping driven by the axial primary radiation force (A-PRF) in shaped traps exposed to standing bulk acoustic waves (S-BAW) using numerical simulations and experiments. The utilization of the stronger A-PRF as the main retention force is a consequence of standing-wave formation along the flow direction, instead of the orthogonal direction as in the case of traditionally used lateral-PRF S-BAW trapping setups.
Symmetry and quantum kinetics of the nonlinear Hall effect
Abstract We argue that static nonlinear Hall conductivity can always be represented as a vector in two dimensions and as a pseudotensor in three dimensions independent of its microscopic origin. In a single-band model with a constant relaxation rate, this vector or tensor is proportional to the Berry curvature dipole I. Sodemann and L. Fu, Phys. Rev. Lett 115, 216806 (2015). Here, we develop a quantum Boltzmann formalism to second order in electric fields.
