Practical approach to clinically diagnosed equine sarcoids using diode laser excision: Results and long-term outcome
INTRODUCTION Sarcoids are the most common skin neoplasm seen in equine practice, with a reported prevalence of 5.8% in the equine population of the United Kingdom (Ireland et al., 2013). Despite being mainly locally invasive and rarely malignant, sarcoids can impact the horse's function, comfort level, welfare and re-sale value depending on their size and location. Many medical and surgical treatments are available for equine sarcoids.

Overground endoscopic findings and respiratory sound analysis in horses with recurrent laryngeal neuropathy after unilateral laser ventriculocordectomy - Z Barakzai - - Equine Veterinary Journal - Wiley Online Library
Unilateral ventriculocordectomy (VeC) is frequently performed, yet objective studies in horses with naturally occurring recurrent laryngeal neuropathy (RLN) are few. To evaluate respiratory noise and exercising over‐ground endoscopy in horses with grade B and C laryngeal function, before and after unilateral laser VeC. Exercising endoscopy was performed and concurrent respiratory noise was recorded. A left sided laser VeC was performed under standing sedation.
